FULL TRANSPARENCY

WHAT HAIR BRANDS AREN'T TELLING YOU

Gone are the days of grabbing what you see on the shelves, or shall we even say… television commercials? Remember those ads that would break up your favorite TGIF binge with 6 minutes of advertisements? Since then we have evolved into some dangerous territory—social media ads! With our distraction on people raving about beauty products, we tend to not pay attention to what exactly goes into our products.

Large corporations have spent billions on advertising for celebrity endorsements that drive conversions [new sales]. However, marketing has evolved, yet again, into influencer marketing. Brands now have the opportunity to give you even more advertisements through the eyes of the “girl next door,” or even through someone you bookmark to strive to be like.

SO, WHAT'S THE ISSUE?

We are getting so captivated by influencers and their mostly paid ads, yet they are told specifically what to highlight and to not provide full transparency about what's in the product...and why should they? They aren’t experts!

To be frank, our company made a conscious choice to leave Corporate America for that reason. For our founder, it was her sole reason alone. If we can’t speak to full transparency and truth, then we are cheating. “I have a daughter that observes my every move and word, I went back to the basics and imagined what kind of human would I be to be okay with lying to a stranger, but tell the truth to my family? I needed to have both, and outside of Corporate America, I could. We all can!”
